The theme for the weekend was [...]]]> The Muskoka Woods team has just returned from spending the weekend hosting a mini-camp. Here’s a little bit of what trip leader, Mike Barlow, wrote about the experience:

Hello from Romania. We completed our mini-camp with 24 children, ages 8-13, from an orphanage we’ve worked with for many years. The theme for the weekend was growth and the healthy practices that help us grow. Our team has been amazing – they are engaged and energized. The weather has been cooperating. Below is a picture of our team with the kids from our mini camp. It has been amazing to watch the Romanian and Canadian teams side by side, having fun, singing and working towards a common goal.

Today the team heads to another orphanage for a cookout and fun with the many young, energetic children who live there.

The timing of their trip is so amazing – they [...]]]> The Muskoka Woods team arrived on Tuesday night, after a long night/day of travelling, and are getting settled in to their home for the next two weeks in Romania.

Today the team has been working hard on the land recently purchased outside of Cluj. The timing of their trip is so amazing – they are the first Canadians to contribute to the building of our future Family Farm here.
[But as you can see from the pics below, they were first needed to help with some demolition of old buildings].

The team will spend more time working on the land over the next two weeks. As usual, they will also be involved in our orphan outreach programs, helping our staff and volunteers to host ~25 kids at a mini-camp this weekend as well as leading games, crafts, and songs when they visit orphanages and group homes.

They will also be doing some outdoor adventure experiences with teenagers from [...]]]> Our Canadian summer team is getting ready for an action-packed two week trip to Romania.

This July, these enthusiastic team members will be joining our Pas Cu Pas staff & volunteers to run Camp Discovery for almost 50 children living in government care. They will also be doing some outdoor adventure experiences with teenagers from group homes, and then working alongside of them to run a summer kids’ program in a small village. Get ready to hear stories and see photos of silly games, fun activities, creative crafts, and meaningful friendships.

The trip dates are July 7-22, 2017.

“A little less than a month until our departure and our team has already been impacted and congealed indescribably well. Throughout the training and preparation process God has constantly provided both spiritually and financially. As our departure date soon approaches we pray and trust that our team will continue to grow in trust and honest friendship…”
